Satu hal yang paling menarik dari film ini adalah bagaimana penulis menyampaikan pesan soal peran laki-laki. Pak Broto jadi sosok penyeimbang Bu Broto yang luar biasa. Pun dengan plot-twist soal Jarot yang belum bisa saya ungkapkan di sini karena spoiler. Losmen Bu Broto membuat porsi peran laki-laki dan perempuan dalam filmnya jadi seimbang.
Kisah dalam film ini akan berfokus pada keseharian Pak Broto (Mathias Muchus) dan istrinya (Maudy Koesnaedi). Mereka mengelola losmen keluarga bersama ketiga anaknya, yaitu Jeng Pur (Putri Marino), Jeng Sri (Maudy Ayunda), dan Tarjo (Baskara Mahendra). 3.
